Through the resources of the Center for Industry-Academia Collaboration and the Department of Materials Engineering at Ming Chi University of Technology, this project will establish the "Defense Science and Technology Application Industry-Academia Consortium." The consortium focuses on the research and development of high-performance protective materials, centered on two primary pillars:

  1. Magnesium Alloy Surface Coating Development: Enhancing corrosion and wear resistance to expand application potential in lightweight vehicles and aerospace structures.

  2. Boron Carbide ($B_4C$) Ceramic Materials: Applications for bulletproof vests and armored vehicle protection plates.

Operated on a membership basis, the consortium provides technical services, joint R&D, talent training, and promotion of achievements. We plan to collaborate with defense industries and vehicle manufacturers to establish pilot production verification mechanisms, accelerating the practical implementation and localization of high-performance protective materials.

Note: The consortium will subsequently be renamed the Crucial  Materials Technical Application Alliance.(CMTAA)
